.. No images? Click here We are ready for NervesConf EU . This conference is co-located with Goatmire Elixir and the Elixir part is essentially sold out. There are 4 tickets at the time of writing. Biggest NervesConf ever :) 139 ticket holders for NervesConf EU.
Nerves CarMarc Lainez and his gang of marauders have finally posted a thorough thing about all the work they've done on their Nerves-based EV conversion of a car. Watch it go! qemu & uI've been doing .. research .. development. Something experimental. In preparation for my talk at Goatmire Elixir I have collaborated with one of the sponsors. Ampere. We all know and love ARM right. Well, they do it on the server and I get to play with one of their server chips. The Ampere One 192 core. Frank Hunleth and I have gone on an adventure because I wanted to run many, many Nerves devices on this hardware. I have shared the story so far in two blog posts. One from last week and one from today: There is a lot of assorted technical stuff found and covered in those posts and the code I reference. Around qemu, emulation, virtualization and also performance tuning Erlang and the BEAM. I should also drag Peer Stritzinger's group into this. They've been doing much heavier memory constraints recently. The useful project coming out of this is nerves_system_qemu_aarch64 . It is not quite prime time yet but quite close. Essentially this will be a pretty useful tool for making tests for Nerves but also doing developer experience things around developing on virtual hardware and so on. -Lars Hardware at Goatmire Elixir & NervesConf EUWe are planning something a bit special for the conference and if all goes well you'll see people share more about this. Gus Workman of Protolux Electronics is putting together something special and if you are attending you'll both hear a ton about it and also get some active hands-on time to explore the device. Hardware built for Nerves. I love eInk. We couldn't be more excited! And don't worry, not really trying to sell more tickets. Seems like we're about at capacity. Just trying to ensure that people coming have the appropriate level of excitement and that the people missing it are asking curious questions after. This is made possible by our object-storage-slinging friends over at Tigris who are funding the production of these as special sponsorship of the conference. -Lars Project updatesSystem updates!
